This is a personal favorite. I wanted this score to be as organic as possible. Even with the budget constraints of the film, I needed to match the realness of the script and the vision of the writer director, Robert Kevin Townsend. I was able to do that with 90% of the cues being 100% live. My solution was a limited palette of real instruments with solo cello taking the lead, beautifully performed by Vanessa Freebairn-Smith. The two cues on this page are my favorites from the film.
As so often is the case with an indie film, this project has been through a major roller coaster ride, starting with the ups of winning a small film festival, and sale to Lifetime Television and it’s first name change, Miracle Baby, followed by another sale of the DVD rights to Universal who once again saw it fit to change the name to False Prophets.
