Until 2002, my career was focused solely on composing and mixing. Two events altered that path: one was meeting my wife Stephanie Richards, a singer-songwriter; and two, was the sale and distribution of Gas Station Jesus, written and directed by my longtime collaborator Robert Kevin Townsend.
In 2003, long before Sunshine Collective and after the initial musical work for Angola Blue, I caught the bug. Songwriting continued to be a burgeoning part of my creative life and I then co-write half of the songs for Stephanie’s debut, including the R&R charting single Get Used To It. Get Used To It reached #40 on the Radio & Records CHR Pop Indicator chart on October 10, 2003. In addition to Get Used To It I have included some additional favorites from her debut, including Drive which was one of our early collaborations with songwriter and guitarist Jesse Valenzuela of the Gin Blossoms.
